How it works?
Cards for Causes makes ordering large quantities of expression products easy and intuitive. The best part is that you can select to have 20% of every purchase go to the charity of your choice. Start by personalizing your item, pick which ink or foil color you’d prefer, and for an added touch add a logo or handwritten signature!
How secure is your website?
We use use a 256-bit capable Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) solution. This encrypts information you input such as credit card information and ensures that your information cannot be intercepted by a third party during transmission.
We do not store your credit card information. We use Authorize.net to process your credit card securely and all transmissions are done over SSL as well.
Your credit card will not be charged until your order is sent to the processing facility.

I am checking out and I get an AVS mismatch error message. What’s that?
The AVS mismatch error message means that the billing address for the credit card you are using is incorrect. If you are using a personal credit card, make sure you put in your home address or where your monthly billing statement is mailed to. If you are using a company credit card, put the business mailing address or where the monthly statement is sent. Call us at 1-888-832-4153 if you have have other questions.

Can I run your cards through my printer at home or work?
Our cards are manufactured and designed for imprinting via an offset or stamping process and not through a Home\Office type laser or ink jet printer. With some home or office printers the heat will melt the digital ink and smear.
We will not be responsible for reprinting any cards that become smeared, discolored or damaged in any way as a result of being put through a home or work ink jet/laser printers
How do I personalize my card?
Most of our cards include up to 4 lines of personalization FREE of charge. You can have up to 4 lines of personalized text with up to 45 characters (including spaces) per line. However, there are some cards that allow fewer characters due to size, orientation, die-cut etc. For 1 line of personalization, we recommend using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS to allow for maximum readability. For more than one line of personalization, you may elect to use ALL CAPS or Mixed Case.
How do I create a custom verse?
We offer a nice selection of standard verses at no extra charge. We also allow customers to compose their own custom verses free of charge. To do so, click on the Custom Verse link when you personalize your cards, choose your font, ink color and type in your text. We will layout your custom verse and send you an electronic proof for approval prior to producing your card. If you cannot fit all that you want to say in the custom verse area online, please email your custom verse to email@example.com, and we will manipulate the font size so it will fit and email you a proof to approve.
How do I add my logo?
You can have your logo printed on the inside of your card. We will send you an electronic proof for approval prior to producing your card. Allow 2 days extra production time for logos. Please follow the instructions below:
Logo charge of $40.00 no matter how many colors in logo.
Artwork must be a minimum 300 DPI (Dots per inch) resolution in one of the following formats:
Preferred formats are adobe illustrator (.ai) or Encapsulated Post Script (.eps).
Other acceptable formats are .jpg, .jpeg, tif or tiff.
Logos taken from websites or from word documents are not acceptable.
Please upload your logo when placing your order.
Can I add a signature to my card order?
Yes, we will print your handwritten signatures on your cards. After you place your order, we will send you a template that includes your verse and personalization with detailed instructions on how to complete the template with handwritten signatures. Allow 2 days extra production time for signatures. Signature charge of $40.00 regardless of whether the signatures are the same color or a contrasting color.
Can the card stock or front message be changed on any cards?
Most all of our exclusive digital cards can have their stock or front message changed. Please give us a call at 888-832-4153 to discuss.
Are there any Envelope Options?
You can have up to 4 lines of personalized text with up to 45 characters (including spaces) per line. Your text will be centered on the back flap of the envelope. The ink/foil will match what you chose for the inside of your card. Your pricing is updated when you enter your information based on the quantity you order.
In addition, we offer our Fastick self-adhesive envelopes with most cards for an additional cost of $4 per 25 envelopes.
- Orders, Shipping & Returns
Is there a minimum order?
The minimum order is 25 cards and cards must be ordered in multiples of 25. If you enter an amount other than a multiple of 25, the system will automatically adjust your order to the next higher multiple of 25.
What about large quantity discounts?
In addition to donating 20% of the cost of your card to your chosen charity, we offer discounts off our retail price depending upon quantity. We also regularly offer additional promotional discounts. Do I need to approve a proof?
We require approval of a digital proof on all orders of 1000 or more cards. This adds on average 2 working days to the turnaround time. There is no cost for the proof. Once approved, the client assumes responsibility for the printing of their order. In addition, all orders with logos, custom verses or signatures will receive a digital proof via email prior to production, regardless of the quantity
What payment methods are available?
We accept MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover. We can also accept Company Purchase Orders for orders of 500 cards or more.
Do you ship to countries outside the United States?
Yes, we ship to Canada. Orders shipped to Canada may be subject to additional duty or custom charges at the time of delivery. These charges are not included in your order total and are the responsibility of the customer. We can ship internationally but we handle those orders on a case by case basis. Please contact us to get a quote as you cannot place the order online.
What is your shipping policy?
We use UPS Ground shipping as our standard. There are options to select UPS 3 Day, 2 Day or Overnight shipping as well. We ship to all 50 states and Canada. We offer international shipping as well, contact a customer service rep for details or a quote. Please note that when you select expedited shipping (next day, 2 day or 3 day) that the shipping times are in addition to the production times.
When will my order ship?
Most orders will take 3-4 working days to produce and then 2-5 days shipping time depending on where you live. Orders that include logos, foil imprints, scanned signatures, proofs on larger orders etc. will take an additional 2 business days on average.

What is your return policy?
We will gladly reprint and reship any order that has an error due to our mistake at no expense. Reprinted orders due to customer errors will be turned around as quickly as possible at customer's expense. Please review your online proof carefully when placing your order as well as your email confirmation in an effort to catch any errors. Please contact us immediately if you discover that an error has occurred.
- Charities & Donations
Who can receive donations from Cards from Causes?
Any charity that is organized or registered to do business in the United States and that is recognized as a 501c3 tax exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service is eligible to be listed on our select a cause page and to receive donations from Cards for Causes. Charities are listed for an initial term of 12 months. Each year we remove any listed charity that has not generated a donation in the previous 12 months in order to make room for others. The donation checks are from Cause for Causes and we do not give out our customer names to the charities.
Can I donate to a cause that is not listed?
Yes, we can make a donation to a cause that is not listed. You may click on the "Submit a Cause" section located in the About menu to fill out the information needed for the charity you wish to add. Charities are listed for an initial term of 12 months. Each year we remove any listed charity that has not generated a donation in the previous 12 months in order to make room for others.
How can I inform others about the charity I selected to receive your donation?
You may add a benefit line to the bottom inside of your card that states "Twenty percent of the proceeds from this card supports [Name of Charity]". This will be printed in 9 point font and color to match your personalization. This is a FREE option to our customers.
How is the charity donation calculated?
Cards for Causes will donate 20% of the price of the card you select to the charity of your choice. The card price includes imprinting of a standard or custom verse, up to 4 lines of personalization in your choice of ink or foil and the charity benefit line, if requested. Custom options such as logo imprinting, recreated signatures and envelope imprinting are not included in the donation calculation.
Is my purchase and the donation tax deductible?
No, because the donation to the cause is not being made directly by you (Cards for Causes is sending the checks), you cannot claim it as a tax deduction. The donation checks are from Cause for Causes and we do not give out our customer names to the charities. You may be able to claim your card purchase as a business marketing or office supply expense. Please check with your accountant.
How often do you send out donation checks?
Our current schedule is to have checks prepared in the first quarter of the new year. There is no minimum amount in order for a check to be cut. We will make an announcement via our email newsletter when this is done, so don't forget to sign up!
